Day in the Life Of: Selfless Shopping Could Be Fun

I was asked by a close family member's friend (did your brain have a little fit there?) to accompany her the next time she went shopping, because she trusted my style-decisions (yes, I did have a little gloating moment of glory when she said that). I gave her my word, and I really do have trouble saying no to playing dress up with someone who would let me pick out just about anything for them. We went to a couple of boutiques, and tried on outfits among outfits. I ended up loving 2 of these outfits the most, and I decided I'd post them up on here. Since boutiques usually sell unique things you wouldn't get easy access to in chain-stores, I decided to truly take advantage of the selection we were given. I DOVE  into the colors, choosing blues, greens, reds, and some hot pinks for her. She shook her head at everything and pointed at the more subtle colors. She loves the classic color palette (nude, white, black, grey beige) but what struck me as special about her sense of style was even though she did love her safe colors, she loved going all out and was quite flexible when it came to the style of the outfit, and playing up the accessories. I didn't buy anything.....I know. Really, I'm so proud of myself for holding myself back hahah, willpower of a warrior.

Enjoy!

I love this! So feminine, slimming, and chic. The delicate details on the ends of the shirt are adorable, and in my opinion everyone needs a classic pencil skirt in their closet.

I found this look incredibly cute and playful. The polka dots, you can either win or lose with, but I think this is a definite win. The tweed-esque high heels and subtle sequin belt compliment the babydoll-ness of the dress with a pinch of maturity which gives the overall outfit perfect balance. Black and white don't always have to be boring!
